๐ Free rides, full brackets, zero parking stress
Plus over on 8th Street the kettle is on, the karaoke mic is warming up, and Sioux Falls is showing what community really looks like.

If you needed an excuse to explore downtown, this is it.

Free rides, Mash Madness, and a packed events calendar mean you could fill every night without leaving a few city blocks. We are planning at least one stop for specialty drinks and another for live music.
Somewhere in between, we will probably grab a burger from an iconic food truck. March is doing the most, and we are not mad about it.
In todayโs Scoop:

๐จ Sioux Fallsโ Best Weekend Ever?

๐ Bold street food with a Southern-inspired kick.

Roscoeโs Kitchen is officially hitting the pavement this mid-March, kicking off the 2026 food truck season with the kind of comfort weโve been craving all winter.
Between those signature smashed patties and the legendary "Cheeto Balls" (savory beef and rice rolled in a Flaminโ Hot crunch) this menu is pure, flavor-packed momentum. Grab a vibrant, fresh-squeezed grape lemonade and catch them at a local pop-up to welcome the return of sidewalk lunch dates and late-night hibachi bowls.

๐ชด A communal living room for shared skills

921 E 8th St, Sioux Falls, SD
Good NAtured brings a certain lightness to the 8th Street sidewalk, especially when stepping into this alcohol-free sanctuary for a bit of neighborly connection.
It is a true third place where the kettle is always on and a half-finished jigsaw puzzle usually waits on a table for a friendly hand. Whether you are dropping in for a Friday karaoke set, centering yourself with Sunday morning yoga, or bringing a pile of clothes for the monthly mending circle, the vibe is purely about belonging.
It is a cozy, sun-drenched spot built on the pride of shared crafts and the simple joy of local conversation.

๐ Free shuttles for tournament week

The Gist: Sioux Falls is offering free shuttle rides between downtown and the Denny Sanford Premier Center from March 5 through March 8. These rides, managed by Via, allow everyone to visit local shops, breweries, and restaurants without the hassle of finding a parking spot. While you are out, you can also take part in the 10th annual Mash Madness event by voting for your favorite specialty drinks at thirty-two local spots throughout March.
Why It Matters: This makes it easy to support our local businesses and enjoy the tournament atmosphere without worrying about transportation.
๐ฒ Supporting Our Senior Neighbors

The Gist: Active Generations is launching its March for Meals campaign to raise $200,000 for local nutrition programs. With 20 new seniors seeking help every month, the nonprofit is working hard to provide hot meals and daily visits to over 5,400 people without starting a waitlist.
Why It Matters: Ensuring our older neighbors stay nourished and connected helps them live independently in their own homes for longer. You can also support the cause by dining at The Barrel House on March 9, when they will donate 10% of sales.
