🦃 Seventy Turkeys Headed to Sioux Falls Families

The Gist: The National Wild Turkey Federation donated 70 turkeys to The Banquet’s two Sioux Falls locations, a welcome boost for neighbors feeling the pinch before Thanksgiving. The Banquet says the donation comes as more families face delays in paychecks and SNAP benefits during the ongoing government shutdown, raising the need for help across the community.

🐾 ZooMobile Rolls Into Sioux Falls Schools

The Gist: The Sioux Falls ZooMobile is gearing up to visit three Title I elementary schools, bringing live animals and hands on lessons straight into classrooms. Supported by a renewed grant from Sammons Financial, the program gives students who may not be able to visit the zoo a chance to meet animals up close while connecting the experience to science and reading lessons.

Gustav is a young cream and white sweetheart who survived Hurricane Helene.

He is now ready for a warm, steady home. This 52 pound boy is potty trained, loves toys, and enjoys both playtime and couch snuggles. He gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and kids, and his gentle confidence grows a little more each day.

With an adoption fee of $300, he is waiting for his fresh start.
